We are having a lot of luck with incorporating content vocabulary into discussion groups within our ELL classes. We identify sets of students with similar courses(10th grade biology), look at upcoming units with their content teacher and work this vocabulary into the ELL classroom.

Social Studies teachers are doing a lot with graphic organizers with L3's and seeing success.
One of our largest challenges has been with Geometry. Students have a lot of success in algebra but their is so much vocabulary in geometry that it is hard for them to keep up and it has been a challenge to work with math teachers to modify the pace for our ELLs.
